How’s it going, Po Town readers? I’ve been thinking about the Team Challenge and how it remains in the Standard Team Up to Battle Styles PTCGO format. So, I’ve selected a handful of top decks to share in this article today! All of these lists are a combination of my own thoughts and winning ideas from major online events! This article aims to share some of these top decks for you to try and learn more about our Pokemon TCG Online metagame. If you need any cards to prepare for this event or need Pokemon TCG Online codes, PoTown Store is a great place to pick them up! Let’s check out these decks!
Eternatus VMAX
Eternatus VMAX (Darkness Ablaze) has long been a contender in our Pokemon metagame, and it is one of the top decks. Eternatus VMAX is successful because it's easy to play, has a large damage output, and it's consistent. My list is slightly unusual, but the Galarian Zigzagoon (Sword and Shield) + Scoop Up Net (Rebel Clash) package has been working wonders against Victini VMAX (Battle Styles) and other top decks. The only other thing that I’ve changed is cutting Cheryl (Battle Styles) for more consistent cards because Lucario & Melmetal-GX (Unbroken Bonds) decks see slightly less play. Let’s check out my list.

Grass Mewtwo
Mewtwo & Mew-GX (Unified Minds) hasn’t been shy from seeing success, and it continues to do so when partnered with Rillaboom (Sword and Shield). This deck functions like most other Mewtwo & Mew-GX decks, using Perfection to copy a handful of attacks, and it works well here. The main strategy is to copy Super Growth on Rowlet & Alolan Exeggutor-GX (Unified Minds) to get a Rillaboom set up ASAP. Once you have access to Voltage Beat, you can choose from different attacks to gain an advantage in the game. There are other cool cards in this deck, like Mallow & Lana (Cosmic Eclipse), so carefully read through the deck. Let’s peep out this list.

ADP Zacian
This deck is loved by many but is controversially disliked by the community for the ease of play for the power level it holds. Arceus & Dialga & Palkia-GX (Cosmic Eclipse), or ADP for short, is a simple deck to play, and it is super powerful. The goal is to power up ADP with Energy to use Altered Creation GX, swing hard with Zacian V (Sword and Shield), and finish the game off quickly! Why is it quick? Altered Creation GX allows you to draw an extra Prize Card for each KO, and you do an additional 30 damage. That means you can Knock Out two Pokemon worth two Prize Cards to draw six Prizes in total! It is a deadly deck, and I recommend it to everyone of all skill levels!

Victini VMAX
The strategy of Victini VMAX (Battle Styles) is to use Galarian Rapidash’s (Promo) Libra Horn to bring down the HP of Pokemon that can’t get OHKOed by Victini VMAX’s Max Victory attack. I tend to use Libra Horn against Tag Team attackers, such as Pikachu & Zekrom-GX (Team Up) because that allows Max Victory to hit for an OHKO. The rest of the deck focuses on using Max Victory against V Pokemon for OHKOs because most V Pokemon get OHKOed by Max Victory. This strategy is simple, but Libra Horn can make this deck have more decisions than most other Victini players are used to.
