What’s poppin’ Po Town readers? I’m excited to share this article with you because I have been testing for Regionals like crazy! This season of competitive play has been refreshing because most people are on a level playing field, and things are finally back in full swing! I’ve already been able to snag some points from the London Open with Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR [Astral Radiance], make Day 2 at Baltimore, and make the Top 32 at Peoria with Regigigas [Astral Radiance]. At each of the Regionals, so far, we’ve seen a varied metagame, but I do have my list of top decks. This list is largely based on recent events, but it seems like a great place to prepare for upcoming online events, like the Late Night series or any of the European events that are closing out our Lost Origin format. If you need any of the cards to build these Pokemon online decks, consider picking up PTCGO codes right here at the PoTown store. Pokemon TCG online codes are instantly delivered to your email, and there is such a large selection to choose from. Let’s jump into this list!
5. Arceus VSTAR / Hisuian Goodra VSTAR

Coming fresh off a win at the 2022 Salt Lake City Regionals, Arceus VSTAR [Brilliant Stars] is used here to power up Hisuian Goodra VSTAR [Lost Origin] to keep Rolling Iron rollin’. The goal of this deck is to reduce damage with Radiant Gardevoir [Lost Origin], further reduce that damage with Rolling Iron, and heal the damage done to Hisuian Goodra VSTAR with Hyper Potion [Champions Path]. Let’s check out my list based on Hale Obernolte’s champion list:
Pokémon (11) | Trainers (36) | Energy (13) |

4. Mew VMAX

The goal of Mew VMAX is incredibly simple - you want to draw a bunch of cards with Genesect V [Fusion Strike], and you want to copy different attacks with Mew. You either use Techno Blast for damage output, Max Miracle to get through Pokemon like Miltank [Astral Radiance], and Psychic Leap if you have a lot of damage on Mew VMAX. With powerful damage modifiers, like Power Tablet [Fusion Strike] and Choice Belt [Brilliant Stars], this deck packs a punch. Let’s check out my list based on Charlie Kerr’s T16 list from SLC Regionals:
Pokémon (12) | Trainers (44) | Energy (4) |
---|---|---|
1x Oricorio PR-SW 168 | 1x Marnie PR-SW 121 | 4x Double Turbo Energy ASR 216 |

3. Regigigas

The ultimate goal of the Regis deck is to get one of each Regi in play to be able to use Regigigas’ Ancient Wisdom Ability and then you can pick and choose the best option for the Pokemon you are battling against. Registeel, Regirock, and Regice [Astral Radiance] all have Regi Gate which can help get you out of tough situations. If you have a dead hand, you can always search for a Regidrago [Astral Radiance] to use Dragon’s Hoard or maybe a Regieleki to attach a Speed Lightning Energy [Rebel Clash] to draw a few cards. Let’s check out the list that Azul Garcia Griego took to the Top 4 of SLC Regionals:
Pokémon (14) | Trainers (34) | Energy (12) |

2. Giratina VSTAR / Lost Zone

Giratina VSTAR [Lost Origin] is undeniably one of the most successful Pokemon online decks from Lost Origin, and we get to use the new Lost Zone Engine. That engine features Comfey, Mirage Gate, and Colress’s Experiment [Lost Origin] to make the deck work. The goal of this deck is to get 7 cards in your Lost Zone quickly by using Comfey’s Ability and Colress’s Experiment to activate Mirage Gate. Once you have access to Mirage Gate, you can quickly power up Giratina VSTAR and start hitting for 280 damage at a time and OHKOing most VSTAR Pokemon standing in your way. If you need to do more damage, get 10 cards in your Lost Zone, use Star Requiem to OHKO any Pokemon standing in your path. Let’s check out this list based on Nicholas Moffit’s Top 4 finish at SLC Regionals:
Pokémon (17) | Trainers (29) | Energy (14) |
---|---|---|
1x Snorlax LOR 227 | 1x Roxanne ASR 188 | 4x Capture Energy DAA 201 |

1. Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR / Inteleon

After seeing a bunch of success at NAIC, Worlds, and Regionals - many consider Palkia to be the best deck in the format. It has ways to search for any Trainer in your deck with Drizzile, and Inteleon (Sword and Shield), which opens up many possibilities to make almost anything happen. That includes attacking with the powerful Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR [Astral Radiance], sniping things with Radiant Greninja [Astral Radiance], and even attacking with Inteleon. With all of these options, let’s take a look at Cal Connor’s Top 32 list from SLC Regionals:
Pokémon (19) | Trainers (34) | Energy (7) |

1x Drapion V LOR 118 | 1x Marnie PR-SW 121 | 7x Water Energy CRE 231 |

Happy Testing!
Lost Origin is truly a set where competitive players, deck builders, and collectors can combine their passion for the game! Some ideas are going to be slightly more viable than others, but the decks featured in this article are all tournament ready. We are still in the middle of this format, and I expect some lists to change a bit, but these are all proven concepts in such a short time. I hope you get the opportunity to try these against your friends, at Regionals, and maybe you’ll even play in one of my Late Night events on PTCGO. And as always, if you need any PTCGO codes, you’re in the right place! PoTown store has a great selection of Pokemon TCG online codes, including Lost Origin, and you can get a head start on completing your decks!
