Reignite the spark and battle alongside Pikachu ex in the brand new Pokémon TCG set, Scarlet and Violet: Surging Sparks! Continue to explore the Terastalization mystery with brand new TeraType Pokémon including Flygon ex, Celuredge ex, Alolan Exeggutor ex, and more. With this set, we have plenty of new cards to create new deck archetypes or strengthen previous decks.
One of the new decks and probably the most awaited is the Pikachu ex deck. Being able to hit 300 damage by turn 2 and having one of the strongest abilities in the TCG. Resolute Heart allows you to survive a OHKO with 10 HP left as long as Pikachu is at full health. This means that even with a Fighting Pokémon you won’t be able to get rid of Pikachu as easily! Another key part of the deck is Magneton, which allows you to attach 2 energy from the discard pile to 1of your Lightning Pokémon, meaning that you can charge up Pikachu in a single turn, however, Magenton is KO’d and will give out a prize card to your opponent. So we gotta be careful about how many Magneton we use!
Another interesting deck is the Ceruledge ex deck. Its attack Abbysal Flames does 30 +20 more damage for each energy card in your discard pile and it only costs a single Fire energy. This is great due to the many options we have to find and discard energy, including EarthenVessel, Radiant Greninja, the brand new ACE SPEC Energy Search Pro, and the regular Energy Search. On the other hand, we also have plenty of ways to recover them, such as Night Stretcher, Magma Basin, and Energy Retrieval. So all of our Energy can sit in the Discard Pile until the moment we need it. One last fun addition is the new regular Ceruledge card. With its attack, Cursed Edge, you discard all of the Special Energy cards from your opponent’s Pokémon. This means that Lugia VSTAR will tremble in your presence!
