Shrouded Fable brings brand new decks and a couple of additions for existing decks. Starting off with the Pecharunt ex + Loyal Three deck, which uses the Poisoned condition to its advantage. Use Pecharunt’s Controlling Chains to poison your Okidogi ex and deal massive damage with Crazy Chain. Another interesting deck is the Kingdra ex deck. Just like Chien Pao, before it, we are using Baxcalibur (PAL 61) to charge up Water energy and take OHKOs!
Now for the additions to existing decks, the most important and probably the best cards from the set, are Dusclops and Dusknoir! You KO either Dusclops or Dusknoir and put damage counters on 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon. This means that not only will you be setting up damage to take an early KO, but also you are giving your opponent a Prize Card, making cards like Counter Catcher go live without losing any attackers! Other important additions are Janine’s Secret Technique for any Darkness deck, Xerosic’s Plan for any control decks, Night Stretcher as a recovery option for any deck and Dartrix comes to revive the United Wings deck.
