This set awakens new Mega Evolution Pokémon, including Mega Zygarde ex, Mega Starmie ex, Mega Skarmory ex, and Mega Clefable ex! This set also includes one of the best Support Pokémon going forward, Meowth ex. This set comes with so many great cards, but one stands above the rest: Meowth ex! With its Last-Ditch Catch ability, you may search your deck for a Supporter card and put it in your hand. This has proven to be incredible in previous incarnations of the card, such as Lumineon V, Tapu Lele GX, and Jirachi EX. We have already seen it in Japan; the lists have 1-2 copies in almost every deck, so you gotta get yours in your preferred artwork! Next up is a card that has seen a lot of play in Japanese tournaments, Mega Starmie ex. This deck is another Froslass/Munkidori variant that brings a fun twist to it. Mega Starmie is a menace in the early game, pressuring your opponent right away and allowing some time for Froslass/Munkidori to rack up damage to take down the bigger targets! Both Mega Clefable ex and Mega Skarmory ex can become fun archetypes to play! Mega Clefairy is immune to all of your opponent’s abilities, countering cards like Dusknoir and Hariyama, and the attack can deal a good amount of damage while discarding cards from your hand. It’s an overall fun combination for high-stakes games! Mega Skarmory can use the Metang engine to accelerate energy into Skarmory and snipe off the support Pokémon in your opponent’s bench! The set also comes with a lot of useful reprints and incredible new Full Art Trainer Cards, including the very sought-after Poké Pad FA!
