Let’s Evolve!
What’s up Po Town readers? Your boy Zach is here with another awesome article about “Eevee”-Lution Pokemon! I previously wrote about half of the “Eevee”-Lution Pokemon here Exploring “Eevee”- Lutions Pt.1, but there are so many of them that I had to write this article too! Some of these concepts might be more playable than others, but my goal with this article is to share a few awesome ideas that could work in these “Eevee”-Lution themed pokemon online decks. If you’re missing any cards to build these decks or you’re trying to fill in holes in your collection, there is a great selection of PTCGO codes here at PoTown Store. That being said, let’s check out these sick “Eevee” themed decks!
Jolteon VMAX
Jolteon VMAX (Evolving Skies) seems like a worse clone of Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX (Battle Styles) until you realize that Elemental Badge (Evolving Skies) reduces its attack cost to a single Lightning Energy. The other requirement that is tough for Max Thunder Rumble is that you need to have damage counters on your opponent’s Pokemon to snipe them with the side effect, but that is where Orbeetle VMAX (Vivid Voltage) comes in. Like a classic Orbeetle VMAX deck, you want to use Eerie Beam to scatter damage counters around your opponent’s board and then wipe up the rest of your Prize Cards with Jolteon VMAX. Let’s check it out!

Sylveon VMAX
Sylveon VMAX (Evolving Skies) is in an interesting spot because it requires you to have a bunch of different Pokemon types on your Bench for its Max Harmony attack. You can max out at 250 damage, but you also reap all of the benefits from having an army of different Pokemon on your Bench. Octillery (Battle Styles) can search out any Rapid Strike card, Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX is a great alternative attacker, and Galarian Moltres V (Chilling Reign) also increases your odds of winning against Pokemon weak against Darkness-type. It seems like the Pokemon were randomly tossed into this deck, similar to a Deck Wizard deck on PTCGO, but they each fulfill a goal while powering up Max Harmony! Let’s check out this deck!

Vaporeon VMAX
I’m not gonna lie, I was stumped when it came to building this deck, but I think I found the optimal list. I originally looked at Vaporeon VMAX (Evolving Skies) for only its Bubble Pod attack, but there aren’t many Water-type Pokemon I wanted to summon into play. Sure, Alolan Sandlash-GX (Sun and Moon Promos) and Blastoise VMAX (Sword and Shield Promos) came to mind, but they didn’t fit in with the core of the deck. I decided to focus on Vaporeon VMAX being a Rapid Strike Pokemon and attaching Rapid Strike Energy (Battle Styles) and Elemental Badge to attack super quickly. This seemingly made the deck work with Inteleon (Chilling Reign) and Medicham V (Evolving Skies) and the rest is history. I think Ice Rider Calyrex VMAX (Chilling Reign) might be more of a secure concept, but the Lightning-type Weakness might be better than a Metal-type Weakness. Either way, let’s check out this list!

Leafeon VMAX
My eyes immediately lit up as soon as I read Leafeon VMAX (Evolving Skies) - it was a match made in heaven for Galar Mine(Rebel Clash). Increasing Retreat Cost is already a sneaky mechanic, but doing extra damage because it sounds extra spicy! Drizzle (Sword and Shield) allows you to fish out Trainer cards whenever you need them from the deck and this deck generally works by getting whatever you need. Leafeon V (Evolving Skies) secures your turn one attachment so you are always ready to hit hard with Grass Knot turn two. I’ve tested other versions of this deck that focus on Absol (Team Up), but they didn’t pack the same punch as this list focusing on Inteleon (Sword and Shield). Let’s find out more about this deck.

Time to Test Eevee!
With all of these lists, including the ones from my other “Eevee”-Lution article, you should be able to pick a deck or two and try them out! All of the concepts try to embody each Evolution of Eevee the best way possible and most of them are competitively viable! I can’t wait to test these concepts out more myself and possibly even discover new ways to play these pokemon online decks! Evolving Skies is certainly a vast set filled with many cool concepts and my goal is to discover as many as humanly possible. And as always, if you need any PTCGO codes, you’re in the right place! PoTown Store has a fantastic offering, including Evolving Skies, and you can start building decks ASAP.
