Fusion Strike, our newest Pokémon TCG set, arrives with a bang! This set continues the newly introduced “Strike” Pokémon by adding Fusion Strike Pokémon to the game! This third “Strike-style” seems to be in opposition to the Single Strike and Rapid Strike Pokémon, but that makes for an interesting dynamic in and of itself. While many players will flock to the anticipated Mew VMAX (Fusion Strike) or Inteleon VMAX (Fusion Strike), new Pokémon VMAX Evolution options, like Boltund VMAX (Fusion Strike), seem interesting!
Boltund V (Rebel Clash) could possibly reach greater heights with Boltund VMAX. The extra boost of damage from Bolt Storm and the increased HP can take an otherwise underutilized deck to a whole other level! A huge leap in draw power in this set comes from Genesect V (Fusion Strike). With its Fusion Strike System, Genesect V can draw cards based on all of your Fusion Strike Pokémon in play and use that Ability for each Genesect V in play! That’s a lot of draw power and puts it up there with the greats like Professor’s Research (Celebrations), Crobat V (Shining Fates), and Dedenne-GX (Unbroken Bonds)!
There are some notable reprints in this set too, like Judge (Fusion Strike), that haven’t been able to be played since Judge (Forbidden Light) rotated out years ago. Some more recent cards have also received a Full Art treatment, like Training Court (Rebel Clash), to allow the bling lovers to bling out their favorite decks. Fusion Strike seems to seamlessly combine new game mechanics, iconic Pokémon, and new strategies all into one gigantic set—pick up some codes today!
