This is Elena from Gaia Storm TCG, and it is great to be here once again at PoTown’s blog. Lost Origin has clearly impacted the metagame with the advent of Giratina VSTAR and the Lost Zone engine (Comfey, Colress’ Experiment, Cramorant and so on), so that is why today we are going to focus on one of the most underestimated strategies on the format: Goodra VMAX. Before we dive into it, I need to warn you that because of the nature of the deck, your friends and opponents might not want to speak to you for a while after you finish your game. With that being said, let’s dive into it!

Since its release in Fusion Strike, Mew VMAX has been a consistent contender in the metagame. I think it will be very difficult to find a major tournament over the past 9 months where Mew has not placed in the top positions, something that perfectly expresses the power and versatility of this deck. With every new set release, players wonder if Mew will still be relevant, and every single time, Mew proves to them how amazing it is. What’s up, PoTown readers? Have you been testing Pokemon online decks from the new Lost Origin set? I’ve been testing with my friend's non stop for upcoming Regionals, and I think we have stumbled across a very powerful deck. Coming fresh off of a finalist finish at the 3000 player Japanese Champions League event in Yokohoma, Lost Zone box is making a huge splash in the metagame. Additionally, my Shuffle Squad teammate, Cal Connor, won a 400+ player Late Night with a similar list. The deck looks like a mutated version of the Radiant Charizard (Pokemon GO) / Inteleon (Sword and Shield) that recently won the Baltimore Regional Championships. This new version of the deck features the Lost Zone engine, which consists of Comfey (Lost Origin) and Colress’s Experiment (Lost Origin), and a handful of different attackers. Cramorant (Lost Origin) allows you to hit for an early 110 damage, Sableye (Lost Origin) allows you to spread 12 damage counters, and Radiant Charizard is your late-game sweeper. This deck is incredibly simple to understand yet can get extremely complex - let’s jump into the list and dissect that. I’ve been grinding the trades, ripping open packs, and playtesting this format with my friends extensively, and I’m so excited to share my favourite decks with you!
